All praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds.
Among the sunnah ways to cure and protect from magic spells is reading Quranic verses over Zam Zam or normal water, reciting all or 45 specific ayats against sorcerers/magicians and reciting them over Zam Zam or normal water. This is known as Ruqyah and has proven to be very effective against black magic and other forms of sorcery.
Some people also use supplications written on paper or any purified thing that is dissolved in water and then drank by the person who drinks it. This is also a valid way of Ruqyah but only on condition that one of the requirements of Ruqyah Ash Shar’eeya is satisfied, which is that the intention of the person who reads and the patient who drinks are the recovery from the illness being treated.
One of the problems with this is that the supplications may not be written in Arabic and therefore cannot be understood. Moreover, if the supplications are written with blood, which some ignorant people do, then this is not permissible since blood is impure and the Book of Allah should not be exposed to impurities.
Another method is to dip a ta’weez in saffron and write the name of Allah on it, or the last three surahs of the Qur’an or any other supplication. This is then buried in clean earth. It is claimed that if this supplication is read over the person affected by sorcery/magic, then it causes them to feel the presence of the Jinn in their house and they will feel their fear, confusion and dread of this presence, and in doing so this will cause the sorcerers to flee from them. dissolvable quran ruqyah paper
